St. Genevieve Catholic School Scholarship Fund

The St. Genevieve Catholic School mission is to provide an excellent, valuable education for students of all ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds. At St. Genevieve Catholic School, we are committed to welcoming all families, including those who cannot afford to pay the full tuition. To support this vital mission, the St. Genevieve Scholarship Fund has been established to provide funds for these deserving children who wish to attend St. Genevieve Catholic School.

St. Genevieve Scholarships are made possible by the following:

• Private Donations: St. Genevieve alumni, their families, members of the community and organizations who believe that all children deserve the opportunity to receive a Catholic education can help by making a donation to the St. Genevieve Scholarship Fund. Contributions may be directed toward scholarships for individual students or classrooms.

  
  

  Big Shoulders Fund: Big Shoulders is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships and financial aid as well as program and facility support to Chicago Catholic schools. St. Genevieve Catholic School is a grateful recipient of Big Shoulders support. Big Shoulders provides assistance to families in the following ways:

  
  

  Big Shoulders Scholarship Fund: The Big Shoulders Fund awards yearly scholarships to motivated and academically driven students who demonstrate financial need. Applications are available from the school office on September 1st and must be returned by October 1st.

  
  

  Big Shoulders Financial Aid: The Big Shoulders Fund provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need. Applications are available from the school office on April 1st and must be returned by June 1st. Funds distributed are for the following school year.

Daycare Assistance

St. Genevieve School is a listed provider for the Illinois Action for Children (Daycare Action). Preschool and Kindergarten children are eligible until the age of 6. Children ages seven to thirteen are eligible for before and after school care. Please contact the St. Genevieve School office for more information or visit the AFC website. Applications may be picked up in the office.
