Principal - Marie Neis

Marie Neis has been principal at St. Genevieve School since 2006 and is proud to have accomplished many goals on behalf of the school including:
- Receiving a Polk Brothers Grant, enabling the implementation of the Accelerated Reader Program.
- Receiving a Patron from the Big Shoulders Fund which helped St. Genevieve school with necessary school renovations.
- Hiring Daisy Perez as Director of Development to enhance the schools funding and image.
- Restoring the pre-school program and adding another kindergarten room.
Mrs. Marie Neis completed her undergraduate studies in History and Education at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. She went on to receive her M.A. in History from Northern Illinois University, her M.A. in Pastoral Theology from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota, and her principal certification (Illinois Type 75) from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
From 1994 through 1997, Mrs. Neis served as an adjunct instructor in the Religious Studies Department at Lewis University. She held positions in several other parishes of the Joliet Diocese as a teacher in elementary schools, adult education programs and was also a Director of Religious Education.
From 1998 to 2005, Mrs. Neis served as principal at St. Matthew School in Glendale Heights, Illinois. She is pleased that, under her direction, there was an addition built onto St. Matthew School, housing a new science lab, library and kindergarten.

Director of Development - Daisy Perez
Ms. Daisy Perez achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Sports & Tourism Management from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2007. Ms. Perez has served as the Director of Development and Enrollment at St. Genevieve School since 2007. As Director of Development, Ms. Perez is responsible for researching and developing a variety of funding sources to support St. Genevieve School and its students. Ms. Perez is also responsible for increasing the enrollment of new families for enhancing the reputation and image of St. Genevieve School in the community.
Specialty Staff
Secretary - Mrs. Melinda Figueroa
As secretary of St. Genevieve School, Mrs. Melinda Figueroa is the cheerful voice at the other end of the telephone. She is bilingual and always ready to help parents and students alike.

Title-One Catapult Learning Company (formerly Sylvan Education) - Linda Culver
Linda Culver-McCrantie holds a BAE in Elementary Education and MAE in Administrative Education. Her associated certifications are Type 3, 4, type 75 and a Supervision Endorsement. Mrs. Culver attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Roosevelt University and Loyola University. Presently, she is pursuing a Reading Specialist Masters Degree and Type 10 Certification. Mrs. Culver comes to St. Genevieve School from Norman Bridge School and from reading resource teaching at local Chicago Public Schools.
Counselor - Genny Bigler
Ms. Genevieve Bigler holds a Master’s Degree from Loyola University in School Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University in Social Work with a certificate in child welfare. Ms. Bigler comes to St. Genevieve School through Catapult Learning, a Title I service provider.
Social Work Intern - Thomas Bruketta
Mr. Thomas Bruketta is the St. Genevieve School social worker intern as of 2009. His role supports the development of student social and coping skills. He is available to discuss any issue a student may be having in or out of the classroom. Mr. Bruketta is currently earning his Master’s Degree in Social Work at Loyola University in Chicago. He comes to St. Genevieve from the University of Portland, where he worked in student affairs. Mr. Bruketta has also served as a Jesuit volunteer in Spokane, Washington.
